I am here for Friends

About Me

I am 24. I am a fan of 70's and 80's punk. I am liberal thinking. I am ridiculously sensitive, or as my father would say, "A big girl's blouse." I write plays, screenplays, short stories and the like. I'd like to make films. I did film and video production at University. It made me very depressed. I am an armchair activist. But I am trying to be a real one. Animal rights are a big deal to me. Human rights are entirely dependent upon the person. I work in a bookshop and get a lovely discount. I am a slacker and constantly walking the line of sack-worthy idleness. Adam Sandler in Big Daddy... That's me, only better looking and with less money. I used to be a show-off child always involved in school plays and whatnot. Now I am still a show-off but rely on unique attitude as opposed to any actual talent. I think emo girls are hot. But they whine a lot. Hairdressers will not dye my hair black because it will supposedly make me look like I have AIDS. My dog is called Storm and she is the coolest animal on the planet and just as lazy as me. I still live with my parents. I only pay 60 quid a month including food, bills and council tax. Remember that before you judge the decision. I can be exceptionally intelligent. I can equally be the dumbest motherfucker you have ever had the displeasure of knowing. This usually coincides with how much sleep I have had. Or if I don't want to do the job I've been set. I get nervous around any women I find attractive. The rest of you I treat the same as the guys. Whether you want to hear about wanking or not. I'm not easily embarrassed. But if I do something that I feel makes me look less than perfect, I become quite uneasy. I'm just not embarrassed by shit, piss or cum. I love movies. I love books. I love summertime... I'm now only listing stuff so you forget the piss and cum part... Fin

My Interests

I don't really believe my interests are relevant but if it helps people make a decision to read my blog or take further interst in me I suppose I can put up an advert. Remember, we like people because of their mannerisms and senses of humour not because they like Ready Steady Cook, "Just like my graaaaaandma!"I watch a lot of movies, I read a lot of books, I play a lot of bass guitar, I listen to a lot of music, I watch a lot of pornography, I do a lot of writing, I like philosophy, I enjoy meeting new people, I find it funny when middle aged women hit on me. Enough?

I'd like to meet:

People who aren't complete social retards and are a bit of fun. I am wary of incredibly attractive people. They're either heavily airbrushed or Aliens. ;)

Television:

24, Heroes and South Park. I hate TV mostly, it often seems designed to waste your time and nothing more.

Books:

The Tale of Genji, Love in the Time of Cholera, City of the Beasts, Seduction, A Vital Illusion, Simulacra and Simulation, The Transparency of Evil, The Seven Basic Plots of Literature, War of the Flowers, The Scar, Chronicles of Narnia, Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Neverwhere, Abarat, Weaveworld, Spring Snow, Runaway Horses, The Temple of Dawn, The Decay of the Angels The Outsider, Nineteen Eighty-Four, A Clockwork Orange, Tender is the Night, Heart of Darkness, The Church of Dead Girls, The Gunslinger, The Drawing of the Three, The Wastelands, Wizard and Glass, Wolves of the Calla, Song of Susannah, The Dark Tower, The Divine Comedy, Paradise Lost, The Epic of Gilgamesh, The Iliad, The Odyssey, Icebound, Paragon Lost, Impossible Odds, The Sword of Shannara, The Darkness that Comes Before, Cold Fire, The Art of War, The Book of Five Rings, Harry Potter, His Dark Materials... A lot of the "poncy ones" I own but haven't read... Honestly, I have only made my way through 2 philosophy books, The Vital Illusion as previously mentioned and Status Anxiety by Alain de Boitton

Heroes:

I don't agree with the idolization of individuals. There are those I respect and are interested in but the concept of heroes in this manner is not for me I'm afraid.

Stream Of Consciousness About the Last Book I Read

I have just finished Harsh Cry of the Heron and find myself as affected by its occurrences as I couldn't be by much else. First off I should say that there are several needless strands at work, the bo...

The Power of the Media via Strictly Come Dancing

When you are participating in something, the greatest motivational tool is that at the end of the long hard (or sometimes walk in the park) slog, you have the chance to be recognized as the winner. Yo...

A Character From History

As the blog header suggests, this exercise was to write about a character based in a historical time. It was fairly time consuming because I had to research daily life to get the domestic and social t...

Reposted From my LiveJournal - Needs to be said AGAIN

Why is it that some people just think they have the right to "lord" it over others? I'd say that a large proportion of the population (go alliteration) work in service or retail industries in which th...
