On March 28th, 1983 Sasha Latoya blessed the world not only with her natural beauty, but her unique personality and her warm and gentle heart. As the years went by and Sasha Latoya began to grow up, her family was not surprised to see the talents that she had. Sasha Latoya had it all. If her ability to dance was not enough, she was given the looks of an angel, and the talent to act. She was not your average girl. She appeared to have it all, the natural beauty of a star, and the talent to get her places. Sasha Latoya did not waste anytime. When she was a baby she starred in the “Cotanail� commercial for toilet paper.
WHERE IT ALL STARTED!
This was the beginning to the creation of a beautiful star, and amazing woman. She knew that she wanted to use her talents, but she did not let them take over who she was. She was a very determined and independent girl who did not rely on anyone. She knew who she was and was not about to compromise the down to earth, loving girl that she was. Sasha Latoya did not wait for anything to come her way, in 2003 she realized that if she was going to pursue a career in acting, modeling or even dancing then she would have to take the risk and leave what she had known as home for so long.
Sasha Latoya left her family, and everything else to move to Toronto, in hopes that she would be able to get her career started. She knew that if she did not move then her dreams of making it as a model, actress or even dancer would never become reality. As she began to adapt to a bigger city, and the other girls who were just as talented as she was, she did not let this bring her down. She kept positive and knew that her personality would shine threw and show the world that she was much more then a pretty face. This was just the beginning for her. Sasha Latoya was self-motivated and would only accept the best, and would settle for nothing less. After going to countless interviews and auditions, it was suddenly all worth it. She was beginning to get parts in commercials, was a “Soul Train� extra, and then eventually one of the leads in the “Prophet Jones� music video “Lifetime.� Her acting career was not the only one that was beginning to go places. While she was in Toronto she was on the “Toronto Raptors� junior dance team, and also had dance performances in Ottawa at the “National Arts Centre,� for jazz, ballet and Caribbean dancing. Sasha Latoya went to Toronto as a focused girl with dreams, but returned to Ottawa as a successful woman.
THE MOTIVE
In 2004 Sasha Latoya̢۪s life was about to change forever, but for the better. If she didn̢۪t already have it all, she was about to get even more. She was not only successful with her ongoing career, but she was now a proud mother of a beautiful son Sashaun. Today, Sashaun is only the age of two, however, many of Sasha Latoya̢۪s qualities are beginning to shine threw. It is not only obvious that he has his mother̢۪s natural beauty, but he is also extremely artistic. He has a natural ability to put a smile on anyone̢۪s face just like Sasha Latoya, but he is already becoming a star in the making. With his love for acting, singing, and dancing just like his mother, Sasha Latoya is not holding him back, yet trying to help him get started in commercials and modeling at a young age. Just like herself, she has big dreams for her little man, and knows that he will only achieve great things in his lifetime. No matter what, Sasha Latoya has and will always put her son first in her life. He is her one and only man, and God̢۪s gift to her. Sashaun is her everything and he not only takes good care of her, but makes her gloomy days bright again.
THE TURNING POINT
Sasha Latoya however decided that her life still wasn̢۪t complete. She wanted to do more then just model, dance and act, so she went to school to become an Esthetician, and is currently working at a luxurious spa in Ottawa, as well as a Mac make-up consultant. This is still only the beginning for her though. Many would think she had it all, but Sasha Latoya continues to dream big, and her next reality will be owning her own spa, or becoming an on set make-up artist. Sasha Latoya has everything, and will continue to do great things because she knows who she is and where she came from and does not compromise any of it for anyone or anything. Her journey so far has not all been positive but she manages to turn it around and uses it to make her stronger not bring her down. Sasha Latoya was born a star, and will continue to shine!
