"the future of the future"People have called "Lyrik" many things and her actions on stage behind a microphone, beautiful spoken word, off-the-wall rap Lyriks(that "krank" any crowd), her energetic stage performances, her community awareness & envolment, strong speech writings skills, and style that you can only call NYEAH (pronounced in-yeah), speaks for itself!Born and raised in the small city streets and country roads Lyrik was born 'against all odds'. Living in a small town brings a lot of traditionalists and "religious/supersticious" critics and "stepping out of the box" wasn't an option for a lady.HAHA....living by the philosophies, "i can only be me" and "i'm 2 good 2 hate on U", the box wasn't an issue or even an option, it was distroyed at birth. From talkative class-clown, to band musician, to poet, to ARTIST, and "big sister" figure on the streets, Lyrik has something to prove and it won't take long.Starting her poetic journey in high school forensics, and keeping journals in McComb, MS, she became aware of her love of free flowing spoken word.
Starting her rap career in Jackson, MS in a rap trio named MILITIA (Lyrik, Milla Tyme, B.O.S.), later joining record winning producer, Ron Carbo and a group project named CH.I.L.L. (Chyna Eyes, Infinite, Lady Devine, & Lyrik), and currently working with Infinite, and Puncho in a group project known as Dread Bred, and various guest spots and features while launching a solo career she became aware of her hunger for the GRAMMY, EMMY, OSCAR, ESPY, BET, MTV, VIBE, SOURCE, NICK and every other award!Starting her humanitarian goals in Jackson, MS after reaching, what seemed to be the end, a time of struggling and constant heartache, Lyrik had to crawl into the shadows, overcome and outstand the world, and blossomed bringing joy to all around her and a giving spirit! Dreaming of a Nobel Peace Prize, to make changes in the streets and homes of America and all nations united, Lyrik will never stop until a change is made!
