About Me

I grew up in Clarkston, WA, but moved to Pullman, WA in January 2006 in order to advance professionally. So far I'm liking the college town scene. The change of scenery has been pretty refreshing and I've met really cool new friends.
I have an overactive sense of humor. Sometimes it gets me into trouble, but usually it just gets me some strange looks. If you don't get my humor, we just won't mesh, I assure you.
I'll do just about anything for attention. See above.
I'm terrified of becoming older. I'm afraid I'll be full of regret... and gray hair. I don't want to look back on my life and wish I had done more or done something else entirely. Since I can't look into the future and know what to do and what not to do, I'm simply not taking another minute for granted. I'm learning to accept things as they come at me, make the best of it, and be the best person I can be.
Alanis Morissette is my soulmate. She has a natural talent for melody and deep, insightful lyrics. Jagged Little Pill was the first record I ever owned! I've seen her perform live four times so far, most recently in Portland, OR in July 2005. She and I will sing a duet someday.
Janice Dickinson is my hero. She is fierce, confident to extreme levels, beautiful, and bad-ass, which are highly attractive qualities to me. She knows how to rise to the occasion after going through a lot of shit. She and I will do lunch someday, and we're going to enjoy every damn calorie... and look like we're 21!
I'm heavily influenced by art and media. I love writing. I'm a sucker for visual arts. Pretty pictures make my heart skip a beat. My downfall with that is that I'm quite a perfectionist so sometimes it ends up being more torturous than enjoyable during the creative process. (Ask anyone who has had their picture taken by me.)
I'm so proud to know the people who surround me, whether it's in my professional or personal life. My friends range from the diva types to the shy and quiet types, and they're all so important to me. I need to make more time for my friends. I think it would help me be a little more sane.
I couldn't ask for a better family, and I'll admit that I miss them a lot, so I tend to make regular trips back to Clarkston. I don't know how I would have ever become the person I am today if it weren't for my parents... they have never let me down. My brother and sister are my best friends.
I'm all about talking about whatever forever. I can sit and talk about anything for hours. My favorite thing to do with another person is talk about everything that comes to mind, which usually results in about eight simultaneous conversations, whether it be on the phone or on a park bench at 2:00 a.m.
I love genuine people. I prefer people who have interests, opinions, and passion. It's relieving to meet people who have appreciation for the "small things" in life.
I'm a dork. I find humor in a lot of little things, and when I do... watch out. If I'm comfortable around you, I just let it flow. It's one of my quirks that's really just part of my charm!
I (very occasionally) chat on AOL/AIM. My screen name is: TheUnprodigalSon. Feel free to add me to your buddy list and hit me up if you see that I'm online.
