About Me

MyGen Profile Generator Artistic development combined with extraordinary professionalism and poise, Ale Garza's prior works, arrive together hand in hand, early and on time to reach “the most significant and most desired dream of an artist”: the recognition of talent, the support and unconditional acceptance of the public. Ale Garza has been popularly recognized for his music and his commitment to the Hispanic community. In 2003, Ale's debut album, “Aqui Conmigo” was nominated as best “New Artist Tropical Salsa Air Play Track of the Year,” at the Billboard Awards. In that same year he won three Estrella Awards, and a Quisqueya Award. In 2004, Ale's sophomore album, “Necesito un Amor” was nominated for a Latin Grammy for “Best Contemporary Tropical Album of the Year”. Also, he was nominated as “Tropical Traditional Artist Of the Year” for Lo Nuestro Awards. The Governor of the State of New York honored him with a proclamation for his arduous work and development as an example for the Latin American youth; and the Governor of the State of Connecticut proclaimed April 17 as “Ale Garza Day” in honor of his successful career. Now, Ale Garza delivers his most recent musical production entitled “IRONIA”, which is destined to be another great success. He makes his debut with his own record label, Wepa Music and joins exclusively with UBO (Urban Box Office), a new entertainment company which has a different and innovative way of marketing and distribution; with their FREEDOM MODEL, they have made a tremendous impact in the music industry.“IRONIA” contains 14 tracks and includes a DVD with a documentary that narrates where Ale Garza comes from, his family, friends, the process of recording of his new album and exclusive interviews with notable personalities such as artists, journalists, radio hosts and TV presenters.“IRONIA” is self-produced by the singer, with arrangements and musical direction by Robinson Hernandez. The first single “Que Ironia” is the tip of the iceberg. It deals with the soul of a man, his feelings and life journeys. This track was written by the Argentine composers: Juan Jo Novaira and Paz Martínez. This single was produced in three of the most popular musical versions of the moment: Bachata (by Robinson Hernandez) in Dominican Republic, Ballad (by the Cuban music producer Eduardo Reyes and Ale Garza) and Reggaeton (by Eduardo Reyes ) in Puerto Rico. In the ballad version of “A Quien Le Importa”, the outstanding arranger, Pengbian Sang Ben achieved the best, emphasizing with his direction and experience the potentiality and style of the talented artist, next to the spectacular sound and the musical harmony of the notable musicians of the symphonic orchestra of the Dominican Republic. This song is the work of recognized Cuban composer and ex-producer of the Grammy winning group “La Mafia”, Armando Larrinaga, who also delivered the track “Llego Tu Hora”. One of the largest surprises in this production has been the achievement obtained with the adaptation to the Spanish version of the classical song “(Sittin’ on) The Dock of the Bay” or “Sentado En El Muelle De La Bahia”, where Ale Garza through a mixture of feelings brings out his “bohemian singer” qualities.Other meticulously chosen songs such as “Mala Suerte En El Amor”, “Para No Verte Mas”, “Voy A Quererla”, “Me Extrañaras”, “Te Quiero Tanto”, “Así Es El Amor” and “Mentía” produce a perfect musical confession, penned by lyrical artisans: from Dominican Republic Hector Peña, Rafael Batista with Pedro Rosario, Valerio de Leon and Rafael “Bomba” Brito; the singer and author Argentine Rodrigo with Alejandro Biasco; from Colombia Luis Miguel Fuentes Mejia; and Andy Andy. It’s truly an “irony” to choose the “best” among “the best” songs. The results at the end, is that it will be unjust to ignore any of them. Every song is like a diamond “well polished” in which it took time, effort and energy to obtain the most prodigious and finely displayed facet.Every song in this album is like an intimate trip to the most hidden feelings of each individual. Life experiences, histories and dramas made into songs, melodic photographs… raw, nostalgic realities of daily life in the realm of love…. it’s as if each and every one of us sang along with Ale Garza on each song. The subtleness harmonic and versatility melodic of his voice, combined with the perplexity of his interpretive magic, makes Ale Garza an “insuperably distinct” artist in any genre. As of today, anything Ale Garza does in music will not be a surprise. Everything is possible “when you know how” and for this reason, the intellectual and professionally composed musical material chosen for this production have fulfilled his dream. You don’t have to be an expert in the every day complicated and surprising world of music to read the silent movement of lips projecting expectations for this new album. Without a doubt it will give Ale Garza the position he deserves. The originality, the feeling and the gentleness of his interpretations provides strength to all of his music. “IRONIA” has all of the necessary elements to reveal the present and future productivity of the endless and incredible resources of a mine of talents and charisma his name… Ale Garza!!!
