Originally from Nova Scotia, I relocated to Ontario a little over 8 yrs ago. I have 2 younger sisters who are in NS, as are my parents.I'm married to a goddess who, fortunately, continues to put up with me! No kids, at least at this point. Two nephews,(Spencer,4&Sawyer,1)one niece(Bailey,1)two cats who have overthrown the monarchy and may be plotting against me as I type. We have two similar looking black and white ones to mess with people's minds...no one knows for sure if we have one or two.
I truly enjoy meeting and getting to know people,which is probably how I ended up doing what I do for a living and is probably why I wanted to set this page up. I believe you can learn from virtually anyone you meet - you just gotta figure out what it is sometimes! Love talking with/meeting people who have interesting experiences to share and who aren't afraid to live their life...
I'm very much into music, have been as long as I can remember...ironically have never really played an instrument, other than learning "Smoke on the Water" and an equally simple April Wine song on my buddy's guitar... in Jr. High. Lately, have been considering re-visiting the guitar. I am in awe of anyone who can make (any of) those shiny instruments come to life and I applaud anyone who decides to pursue music as a career...you truly have to love it. I'm always checking out live bands...from local bands to international stars, nothing beats seeing a great show. Would like to compile a list of bands I have seen live...hmmm, that will take awhile.
Mainly into hard rock and metal, but listen to a wide variety of music. My page just scratches the surface of some of my favourite bands...couldn't begin to list every one that I'm into. Currently in the process of ripping my CD collection to my computer/itunes...slightly time consuming - but worth it! Currently, the ipod has about 20G worth of tunes...still a few to go!
Love travelling,except for the actual travelling part. Some cool places I've been outside of the "homeland" include Jamaica,Hawaii,Italy,Aruba,California and Arizona. I've discovered that there is just something amazing about setting eyes on a whole new world for the first time.
Other interests that I devote my time to include mountain biking,skiing,playing pick-up hockey,snowmobiling,reading,photography(which is more like messing around with my camera in vain),partying with friends(still!)...and myspace. (which I'm learning is an inexepensive way to entertain myself, unlike most of the aforementioned interests!)
At the end of the day, I try not to take people and things for granted and like to give back a little when and where I can.
