I began to take lessons 1 year later and then acquired my first electric guitar when I was 12 during the Christmas of “92â€. I continued guitar lessons until realizing the multiple guitar teachers was starting to suck, so I eventually shut that down. Guitar continued to be my vice through school even when my family would hide it on me hahaha. In grade eleven some buddies and I went to an outdoor music festival called edge fest. Green Day was the headliner so of course we were right up at the front. Billie Joe asked several people to come on stage and play until his bass player pointed me out. I then got thrown on stage in front of 22, 000 screaming people. Well to say the least I took the opportunity by the horns and performed my ass off doing back flips, Eddie Van Halen kicks and playing the song to a tee that Bille Joe taught me in 3 seconds. I made the news papers and was called the highlight of the night. So after my moment of fame and rock stardom I began singing and writing songs. This lead to the formation of a band which I head manned and recorded 3 albums with called The Mother Culture, a Saskatoon rock and funk band. We played with the likes of Trooper, Simple Plan, Danko Jones, and Gob. After going our separate ways I took a turn towards country which is what i grew up listening to up here in the prairies. I leaned towards the country rock as rock is just way to fun to play. I've been on a solo mission since the summer of 2006, but getting the help of the some of the prairies best talent.
