Monica Hellgren is my name and I always loved to sing and listened to all kind of music. Ten years ago I started to write music. Now I have found to write the kind of music I feel for. I love to make melodic folkrock with a touch of classic tones.
I was born 1965 and my roots come from the north part of Sweden I also live here in a lovely town called Pitea. I'm a singer and songwriter and I play different instruments.In my early childhood my interest in music started and it has never stopped.
At the age of 9 I started with flute lessons then classical piano. And of course ABBA often was played on my stereo.The songs often starts with a melody in my head and I´m thankful for that it´s never difficult to create a song. The hardest thing is to find a good lyric in english because I´m Swedish :).
I record at home and do all mixing by myself.
It can take a little time before I answer because I do not yet have the Internet at home.
