About Me

Broméine started as a side project for Estanis Solsona, brain of the celebrated introspective/sad/folk-y project Deserter (www.myspace.com/desertermusic). The idea was to start writing songs with a completely different nature; more upbeat, more uptempo; songs that you could shake and dance to. So step by step, beginning in april of 2005, he started to let go, writing tunes that tried to be catchy, groovy and wicked, discovering how much influence had on him all the 80's new wave and techno-pop records he used to listen as a child. It was important to keep the music fresh, so songwriting and recording of a song would always last for one or two days: thinking of a cool rhythm and riff, a quick melody and then fill it with a few arrangements. After a year of working and choosing songs that fit well together, Broméine releases this mini-lp, "Oh, The Gimmick!", a funny little record to dance to as you listen to sarcastic lyrics about cheated hearts, having fun, punishing dumb males and wanting to dance without no one bothering you.
