“Politics is supposed to be the second oldest profession. I have come to realize that it bears a very close resemblance to the first.â€
--Ronald Reagan
Reading, writing, music, photography, (digital) graphic design, computers, my kids (one girl, one boy, one feline), road trips, cooking, baking, hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, rifles, singing (when I can pull it off), movies, not that I really have a chance to do any of that outdoorsey stuff anymore. I usually just spend time with my son and cat, Mike, and his family.

I so want to go rapelling again. I miss the freefall, the rope harness, the scratched up shins, and the overall thrill of hanging off of a cliff with nothing more than a rope holding you up.

Doesn't really matter. Whether I go to heaven or to hell, I'm sure to meet someone interesting. I've got a couple of brothers that I haven't seen since 1991. I wouldn't mind seeing them again.

I love dragon flies and tree frogs. I like turtles and oddly colored butterflies (not girly frilly stuff... the odd ones.) And I absolutely adore the evil looking Cheshire cat!

In order to save a little time, I will simply say that I've got a fairly eclectic taste in music. From Classic Rock to Ambient/Trance, from Electronica to Alternative, Doo-wop and 80's, toss in a dash of classical, and that is my playlist.
In a quick rant, as a reply to a friends blog... [most] bands these days suck, and I'm tired of three chords of the same bullshit to "create" and entire song. Rap love ballads (got my bitch, got my ho, gonna put it in her back do') what the fuck is that? I wasn't aware that the new definition of romance consisted of getting a rim-job while rolling around in a cadillac so low it can barely go over a slurry patch on the road, with some gold-toothed-guy you met at a club in south compton while droppin E and smoking weed. When the hell did that become romantic? I guess I'd have to be an uneducated piece of trash to understand. I'll just stick with classic rock. You know, back when bands weren't "studio bands", actually sounded good in concert, had a "face for radio", and didn't have to look like a ghetto-goth-homo or crack-pipe-barbie to sell albums?
The Boondock Saints and The Breakfast Club, Labyrinth, The Dark Crystal, Goonies (They Rule), Reservior Dogs, Fight Club, American History X, Leon, The Manchurian Candidate, Office Space, Ice Age, Old School, 40-Year-Old Virgin, Wedding Crashers, Waiting (It's so angry!!), Shrek 2, Girl Interrupted, Grandma's Boy... There really are too many to name.

Which of the X-Men Are You?
There's really nothing I *must* watch. I haven't really cared for it much lately.
Almost anything by Stephen King & H.P. Lovecraft. Dan Brown novels, Robert Jordan, Isaac Asimov, Robert Anson Heinlein, Terry Pratchet, Tolkein, anything I find with an interesting cover at the Noble Barn.
My kids, for being themselves. Tobi and Justin, for getting the hell out when they had a chance, and actually going places.
Comic heroes are simple: Harley Quinn (psychiatrist/criminal) for being badass and playful at the same time, and Superman for trying so damned hard to be a nerd like the rest of us.
Man oh man, I wish it showed in school!
