Hello! My name's Craig, & thanks for coming to view my profile. If you can stick with this read about me, then it might be worth it. Just want you to know that I'm not trying to pull @ your heartstrings, but I can't tell you about me, without telling you about me!I'm the founder & owner of a hairdressing salon (Hym & Voss Hairdressing, which you can find @ myspace. com/hymandvoss), a business which I have built over the past 9 years. Thankfully through some good fortune & a bit of fine judgement, it has become very successful.Beleive it or not, I'm also a full time medical student, currently in my 3rd year of study & now reading medicine in the Stopford Building @ The University of Manchester.Big into my house music, & I probably spend too much on cd's. Love clubbing but I can't get out as often as I'd like, so when I do get out, I make sure that I have a monster time.I like to travel as much as my busy schedule will allow, & in the past year alone I've been lucky enough to visit Rome, The Icehotel-Sweden, New York, the Grand Canyon, Prague & The Gulf Coast of Florida.I have a 5 year old daughter, (5 going on 15!), who stays with me 3 nights per week & I Love her with my very soul.Right now you're probably thinking "a hairdresser who's studying to be a doctor - what's all that about?"I lost my eldest daughter, Mia, in 2003 @ Pendlebury Childrens Hospital, aged just 2 & 1/2. She was born with a very rare neurological disorder called Moebius Syndrome, & she fought to the end. I'll always be very proud of Mia, both for her courage & for the Love that she taught me.Mia's death broke me, & for around a year I was truly lost. But then I started to put the broken peices of myself back together, only they didn't all fit the same as before, & I realised that although I was the same person, in many ways I had become someone else.Through Mia's condition I spent a lot of time around doctors & nurses in hospitals, & I was trained in trachaeostomy & gastrostomy care to a high standard, so I learned a little bit about paediatric medicine & clinical practice.I've spent the last 2 years studying medical sciences @ MANCAT, earning distinctions in each section of each year. After 2 years of excellent results, & serving on a clinical placement with a consultant in paediatric outpatients, I was, after interviews, offered places @ Hull York, & Manchester medical schools. Of course being my home town, & one of the very best in the U.K, I took Manchester. I'm now very proud & privelleged to be settling in amongst the finest science students from accross the country. In many ways returning to study has greatly helped me with the healing process, & the progress which I've made & the knowledge that I've gained has given me a great sense of acheivement.EPIPHANY!After such a loss, d'ya know what I figured out? A lot of people in this world walk around every day unhappy with what they do for a living, but if you asked those people what they really wanna do - what it is that they're really into & what they'd love to get up & go into work every morning to do, they could probably tell you, but they don't do anything about it.Well that thing that we really wanna do, we can. It just depends on how much we want it.I'll be dead one day, but until then, the gift that I've been given that is my life, I'm gonna do something with it.

My Interests

THIS IS MY HOME CITY OF MANCHESTER. I LOVE TO TRAVEL & I WANT TO SEE AS MUCH OF THE WORLD AS I CAN IN MY LIFETIME, BUT FOR ME THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME :)
Myspace Image Upload
Myspace Image UploadLove old Levi's & old skool Nike running shoes. Love jackets & coats & I probably have way too many. If I go shopping for shoes or shirts I always seem to come back with a jacket. Think I have a problem & that I may need some form of coat counselling! Love it when I'm in public & I recall something from a completely different context that makes me start chuckling to myself. Love having my hair short because it saves on time. Love my cd's, vinyl, books & dvd's which I've been collecting for 20 yrs. Love playing on the beach with my daughter. Love it when I find a tenner in the pocket of jeans that I've washed that I'd forgotten I had. Of course. SEX. Love that too. In fact after 16 years of practice I think that I might be starting to get the hang of it!!! Love speedboats. Love helicopters, I go nut's for those whirly fuckers. Love taking photos but probably piss off all my friends because I take so many.(I'm like a bloody Japanese tourist!) Love running because it makes me feel free. Love Karate because it makes me feel alive. Love laughing fits that you cant control. Love it when I've had such a good time the night before that my ribs, stomach & cheeks are aching from laughing so much. Love that peacefull calm that you get when walking home @ 5am after a monster night out & the sun is coming up during the summer months. Love chocolate, especially Guylian seashells & even more so with wine. Love singing my lungs out in the car & I sometimes get spotted by people who think that I'm crazy. Love being in good company & getting on so well with people that you don't realise where the time has gone. Love all my t-shirts. Love diving into swimming pools. Love having pillow fights with my daughter. Love modern architecture, art & design. Love reading about & exploring the ancient world - anything Egyptian, Roman, Greek or Persian I go nuts about.

I'd like to meet:

All those in my heroes section. Oh & Jesus :)The End of the World

Add to My Profile | More VideosA MYSPACE PHILOSOPHY, BY ODYSSEY.MYSPACE, - THE EGO LEVELLER.THIS CYBERWORLD OF WHICH WE ARE ALL A PART, PROVIDES A PLATFORM FOR FREE THINKERS TO EXCHANGE IDEAS, OPINION, FLIRTATION & ART. IN FACT I BELIEVE IT TO BE A LIVING, BREATHING WORK OF ART, AS FOR ME THE INDIVIDUAL PAGES CREATED BY US ALL WHICH MAKE UP THE LATTICE OF THE MYSPACE NETWORK, ALLOW US TO THINK IN AN ABSTRACT MANNER HELPING US TO ESCAPE, FOR A WHILE, FROM THE REAL WORLD OUTSIDE. ( FOR ME ANYTHING DESIGNED TO ENGAGE REFLECTION, THOUGHT & DEBATE IS ART. )IN THIS FLUID CYBEREALM, WE ARE ABLE TO MAKE FRIENDS WITH PEOPLE THAT WE WOULD HAVE NEVER OTHERWISE HAVE KNOWN, & I HAVE BEEN FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO MAKE FRIENDS FROM ALL OVER THE GLOBE.YET NO MATTER WHO WE ADD, LIKE, OR COMMUNICATE WITH, SHOULD WE ASK OURSELVES WHAT IS IT THAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR?TO BE LIKED? WANTED? LOVED????????????????????DO WE PERHAPS USE THIS REALM TO INFLATE OUR EGO'S, & IF WE DO, WHAT DOES THAT SAY ABOUT US & THE SOCIETY IN WHICH WE LIVE? NO MATTER HOW MANY FRIENDS WE HAVE, ARE WE LOOKING FOR SOMETHING THAT WE'RE NEVER GOING TO FIND?THERE'S ALWAYS A BIGGER FISH. SOMEONE COOLER, HOTTER, NEWER.& HOW FUNNY IT IS, THAT TO SOME PEOPLE WE ARE WHAT THEY ASPIRE TO REACH ( FOR NOW ), & YET TO OTHERS WE ARE JUST A NAME IN THEIR FRIENDS LIST.MYSPACE. AS I SAID, - THE EGO LEVELLER :)Atheists are SOO deluded... hehehe
