I am here for Friends

About Me

I was born and brought up in the North East of England near the beautiful picturesque city of Durham. I have been a Musician for over 35 years and started playing Drums when I was 12. When I started playing, I couldn't afford to buy any gear, so I proceeded to use anything I could get my hands on including suitcases and biscuit tins. Bought my first Drum Kit in 1971 for the princely sum of £15. I played in a number of bands in and around the North East and went on to spend a couple of years playing sessions in a small studio. I played my first session in a London studio at the age of 19. Moved away from home and spent a brief spell in London. Then moved to the North West of England to play in various bands including Buffalo and Egypt. I have been heavily into the blues all of my life, but have usually ended up playing in Rock/Metal or Blues/Rock bands. The Blues however remains my first love, musically speaking of course. I really love the West Coast sound and also Chicago and Texas blues. The awesome Eric Sardinas is my favourite slide guitar player and I am proud to be able to call him a friend. I am also the proud Father of Twins, who are my top 2 friends.
