STAND CONVICTED, NOT CONFLICTED -- S. THREATS

About Me

Shaya is a prolific singer/songwriter who hails from Brooklyn, New York. She has been singing and writing songs since she was 6 years old, always passionate about her gift, her tenacity and hard work is sure to be fruitful. Her lyrics weave stories of love, unyielding. Her latest effort aptly titled “Sweet Letters” gives way to hypnotic sensuality, yet, it is the innocence of each tale that keeps you thirsting for more. Truly Shaya is an artist to be reckoned with.
In 1999, Shaya was signed to Mob Momma Records, her first album titled “Kinship” gave birth to hit song “No Window”, which received rave reviews and was heavily rotated in 29 states on both college and pop radio stations. The “Kinship” album was a loosely autobiographical journey about struggle, friendship, and most of all, a celebration of life and love. Throughout every song there was always the positive – the silver lining.
Mob Momma Records would meet with adversity and the principals made a decision to close their doors. Consequently, Shaya was left without a record deal and ultimately “No Window” was pulled from the radio stations playlist. Shaya’s positive attitude would prove to be her strongest anchor, and through it all she continued to write songs and grow as an artist.
Shaya would soon meet Max DiCarlo, a notable producer in the Latin genre, John Travis House and David Linz, both upcoming R&B/Pop producers. Together the chemistry would prove to be magical creating a sensuous hypnotic work of art titled “Sweet Letters” Songs such as “My Eyes They Rain For You”, “Loving You”, “You Saved Me” and “Every Day” are guaranteed standards.
Shaya believes that music is the universal language by which everyone can relate through song. Music has no boundaries, which in itself is very powerful. Shaya’s goal is to always give a message of hope and joy. Life is a lesson and through her music, she wants to encourage people to be positive. Truly, she has accomplished the positive in a creation titled “Sweet Letters”.
