Music is My Life..Charlia started writing music when she was nine years old. She received a music scholarship to New Mexico State University. After performing in several shows in New Mexico with a band called Shades, Charlia packed her bags and moved to the entertainment capitol of the world - Los Angeles. She has had numerous record contracts and is currently working on a new cd. She was the main force in a band called Budahat who was signed to Atlantic Records. The smooth sounds of Budahat incorporated four main members who performed all around California and Arizona lead by the powerful voice of Charlia. This band received several offers from major labels and after a slight bidding war decided to make their home at Atlantic Records. Charlia later branched off from the band to pursue a solo career. She had the opportunity to produce a childrens' gospel album and a few female group projects. She has written several songs produced by Richard Wolfe that have been featured on television shows "One Life To Live", "South Beach", "Kevin Hill" and "Cuts". You will hear her song entitled "My Child" on a soon to be released documentary about mothers dealing with children in gangs. Her most recent songs can be heard on tv shows "All My Children" and "Cashmiere Mofia". She continues to write songs of message that are heart felt by all who listen.
