How we live...
The driving force behind Harvest World, my mentor and most importantly, my friend..."We make hits and that feel good music"...
Mogie j. Israel is a man of vision and light .
While growing up in Chicago's Roseland community, Chicago’s now popularized Wild 100s, Mogie turned to music as an escape. His music refelects a strength, power and a love uncommon in today's music. Influences include James Cleveland, Q.Jones and Pop Staples urban rockers such as SlyStone & Shuggie Otis. HipHop/BreakBeat pioneers such as Kraftwerk and Art of Noise. Other influences include Lionel Richie, Jeffery Osbourne, SADE, Roberta Flack , Donnie Hathaway, Steve Hurley, and Sting. Using these elements, Mogie has developed a unique sound; which by some, can only be descibed as Heavenly ."You can feel the music" - Steve Silk Hurley of Silk Ent. That has been general theme "to be driven by passion"- Mogie Israel HarvestWorld ENT.To date Mogie is already being compared to some of today’s top producers. Mogie j. Israel aka "Mogilla the Track Killa" / {TECHMO} & J Isreal will be named amongst the TheSuperProducers. Exsposure magazine.

RIP - As a fan of film and of reggae music, I say goodbye to an important figure and family friend. Perry Henzell, who directed The Harder They Come, died of cancer on Nov. 30th 2006 at the age of 70. Henzell wasn't a prolific filmmaker, but his 1972 classic helped popularize reggae music throughout the world. It is one of those films where the soundtrack is just as important as the actual picture. If you havent seen it yet, please do. He will be greatly missed. He was more of a great uncle to me then anything...
too many to list all of them...but you should check these out...Life of Pi...100 Years of Solitude...Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance...The Four Agreements...CALVIN AND HOBBS!!!
My grandfather...He is the first person that I have lost and truely loved...I cant help but feel selfish...What I would give to hug him again...
With everyday that passes...I try to walk in his foot steps...He is a wonderful example of what a man should be...I just don't know how he did it...a true test to ones integrity and selflessness.
A Son, a husband, a father, a grandfather, a great grandfather, an Iwo Jima WWII veteran, and most importantly...my best friend.
I love u and miss u
