I get 10-20 requests a day to listen to music...I am truly humbled by the personal requests I get...so please don't get offended if I don't get back to you right away...and also...please don't get offended if I don't like what I hear. I am giving you constructive criticism...I give everyone respect for just trying...it takes a lot to put yourself out for the world to hear and see...especially if you don't sound too great.

The idea behind the work I am getting done...which will take 4 sessions total...My roots and culture...Colombia and Jamaica...with a Chibchan indian artifact...and of course my grandfather...I will try and update as I get it done. If anyone is interested in getting work done please let me know..."Show" is an amazing artist...and so are the other guys that work with him. Adam worked on my Koi.
Everything leading up to me being in Chicago is a very long story...so here is the edited version...Moved to the US in 92 from Kingston Jamaica because my mom remarried...I am a mutt...half Colombian and the rest is Native American with every European nation you can imagine...I am a entrepreneur who has worked for corporate America long enough to not want my tie to become my noose. Music is one of my many passions...I breath, sleep and eat hip hop...the culture...the way of life...its roots...not the "bling"...not the moet...but it would be nice =P lol Not gonna front...just trying to come up!! Harvest World Ent., This is our year...lets get that paper family!
The Chicago Hip Hop scene is what I like to call the "Sleeping Giant"...It's just a matter of time...Love to network and meet new people...Love to read, draw...love tattoos...I have a couple that mean alot to me...my drive comes from my mother and my little sister...I do all that I do for them...I feel blessed...enough said.

There arent many individuals of my complexion that can say they have ever been to Skateland back in the early 80s in Jamaica. I can, with nuff thanks to my mother. I have lots of pride when it comes to my ear for good music.
Eek a mouse, Peter Metro, Yellowman, Junior Reid...these were all of my first musical influences. From the mash it up sound systems in Spanish Town to the Everybody Jump Up sound systems in St. Elizabeth (YS)Those experiences helped my love for music to grow.

How we live...

The driving force behind Harvest World, my mentor and most importantly, my friend..."We make hits and that feel good music"...
Mogie j. Israel is a man of vision and light .

While growing up in Chicago's Roseland community, Chicago’s now popularized Wild 100s, Mogie turned to music as an escape. His music refelects a strength, power and a love uncommon in today's music. Influences include James Cleveland, Q.Jones and Pop Staples urban rockers such as SlyStone & Shuggie Otis. HipHop/BreakBeat pioneers such as Kraftwerk and Art of Noise. Other influences include Lionel Richie, Jeffery Osbourne, SADE, Roberta Flack , Donnie Hathaway, Steve Hurley, and Sting. Using these elements, Mogie has developed a unique sound; which by some, can only be descibed as Heavenly ."You can feel the music" - Steve Silk Hurley of Silk Ent. That has been general theme "to be driven by passion"- Mogie Israel HarvestWorld ENT.To date Mogie is already being compared to some of today’s top producers. Mogie j. Israel aka "Mogilla the Track Killa" / {TECHMO} & J Isreal will be named amongst the TheSuperProducers. Exsposure magazine.

Movies:

I grew up around movie and commercial sets in Jamaica...Some of the individuals that played a key part in my upbringing also wrote and or directed the following Jamaican classics.
RIP - As a fan of film and of reggae music, I say goodbye to an important figure and family friend. Perry Henzell, who directed The Harder They Come, died of cancer on Nov. 30th 2006 at the age of 70. Henzell wasn't a prolific filmmaker, but his 1972 classic helped popularize reggae music throughout the world. It is one of those films where the soundtrack is just as important as the actual picture. If you havent seen it yet, please do. He will be greatly missed. He was more of a great uncle to me then anything...

Books:

too many to list all of them...but you should check these out...Life of Pi...100 Years of Solitude...Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance...The Four Agreements...CALVIN AND HOBBS!!!

Heroes:

My grandfather...He is the first person that I have lost and truely loved...I cant help but feel selfish...What I would give to hug him again...

With everyday that passes...I try to walk in his foot steps...He is a wonderful example of what a man should be...I just don't know how he did it...a true test to ones integrity and selflessness.
A Son, a husband, a father, a grandfather, a great grandfather, an Iwo Jima WWII veteran, and most importantly...my best friend. I love u and miss u
