I am singer/songwriter/musician originally from Illinois. I moved to North Carolina in 1985 because I just didn't care for the cold winters and flat land. Once I got down here I was exposed to Appalachian Bluegrass Music and was hooked. I have always been a Country Music Fan. Everytime I went to Solo-Ensemble contests in school my songs of choice were always Country. Currently I have songs written in the Country, Bluegrass and Gospel formats. I have co-written songs with Jody Dickey, my brother Chad Ledford and former band mate Bill Coffey. I am currently trying to put together an EP with a good friend of mine so I can get my stuff out to producers, publishers and the general public. I am not a writer who conforms to the modern trend. I have been compared to the likes of Lyle Lovette, Joe Ely and Kris Kristopherson for my writing style. My singing style has been compared to Randy Travis, Merle Haggard and Johny Cash. Myself I think I sound like Ric Ledford. My goal is to be given the oppertunity to share my songs with the world. I appreciate all of the support that I have been given, especially the support I get from my wife and my three children. My wife and kids have made some big sacrafices for me and I may never be able to repay them for all they've given up for me. I hope that y'all will continue to support me in my pursuit of a dream.
