**New Music!! check it out and leave me some thoughts...**
heyy... my name's jess and i'm a singer/songwriter/piano player/newcomer to boston. i took a break from college and moved to boston to try and make a go of singing. i've been playing self-taught piano since i was 10, writing songs since 12, and singing in or with various bands on stage since high school, including a guitar and vocal duet called Jess 'n' John, another duet singing harmonies with my mum, a Talking Heads cover band called Fear of Music, a 15-piece funk and soul band called Soulvation Army, an 80s cover band named The Beer Helmets, and a rock/jazz/funk/blues band named Bareback. i also sit in with my mum's country band Neon Moon every once in a while just for fun.
at the moment, i am kind of in limbo about what i'm doing, i'd like to do a lot of things but am finding that perhaps this isn't the right time to do them... i'll be in boston till about september when i go back to vermont to finish school, so i'm thinking that some fun gigging would be cool. so if you have a project that needs a singer, send me a line.
