Double Square" was formed in september of 2004 as a side project of the guitarist "Costas pap" and the bassist "Costas Basakos" of a well known band "verdict denied".After some time being in "verdict denied", gigging and recording stuff, took a decision to make an American style death metal band influenced by bands like "pantera","black label society","six feet under" mixed with many hardcore elements.The heavy detuned riffing laying upon a metal groovy drum'n'bass lines gives the ultimate character of the band.The place of drums taken by "Fotis Vernardos" (Septic Flesh,Night Rage) and the vocalist by "Steve vernardos" (Airged Lamph). After recording a demo tape with four tracks "Fotis" and "Steve" left the band for privet reason."Vaggelis baliusis" came as a drumer to cover "Fotis "place and "Jim" the giant "necro" known from the Swedish death metal band "system shock" and Greek "Anorimoi" came to be the front man of "Double Square". With this line up "Double Square" made a promo cd in 2005.The promo was the best of the month , while an interview took place in Metal Hammer's magazine.After a several years the band is back in action with new material and music.The band now is in the studio and preparing the debut album......
