MUSICAL MIX

Behind the name Musical Mix is a man filled with an entrepreneur spirit that drives him to put mix tapes out weekly. Born in Trinidad & Tobago and then migrated to the United States in the early 90's, Marlon carried his skills with him. It all began during the late 80’s when he desired to be a part of the turn table era having the love for Music. He placed his first touch on Numark Turntables, not too many DJ’s acquired the skills to play on these equipments.Marlon came to New York and joined the number one Dj team best known as “Foreign Base”. From then on he met his friends making a name for themselves known as “Musical Mix”.

Musical Mix consisted of two members, Emile and Marlon. He also runs his show on one of the well known Caribbean radio stations in New York. All though he has skills on vinyl, he understands that you must keep up with new technology in order to be successful in this industry. Marlon specializes in all types of music for any and every event.

Marlon is also into production and remixing tracks. He is constantly in the mix and likes to keep up with today’s music. He is in love with music and doesn’t hesitate to give old school music the credit it deserves. Marlon mentioned that “getting into the Dj industry is not an easy road”.
