THE BIO OF M. BURSTON a.k.a. M.B.
If its all in a name this kid definitely has one. Born Marcus D. Burston, (a.k.a.-M. B.) changed the meaning of his name to Musiarte Bossverso, but you can just call him M.B. Writing his first song in 5th grade molded after the Michael Jackson smash hit Black or White. His mother quickly purchased his first keyboard. Originally as a means to keep him off the streets, but the hobby quickly became more than just a pastime. His mother was disheartened by the influence that gangster rap would have on her son, so she tried to dissuade M.B. from rapping. Thereafter the young artist entered high school where he found a new love for hip hop.
In his 10th grade of high school he formed a music club under the guidance of his music teacher Mr. Green. Then in his writing class he devised a plan to teach his fellow classmates the art of rapping. The next two years M.B. would spend learning the business and perfecting his craft. From his first production company he then recruited six local artists under his wing M.B. started attacking the streets of Decatur, but with no financial backing his local artists grew frustrated of having to pay dues in the world of hip hop music.
Before graduation M.B. found he didnt have enough credits to graduate on time, so he decided to intern at a local studio called P-Lo Productions. Producing a number of songs and learning the fundamentals of the business, but then the studio went out of business. M.B. was left without a studio to record in.
Two weeks later he found another studio right around the corner from P-Lo Productions called Hardball Entertainment. Where he spent three years before everything fell apart. Thus losing all of his material for his album and walking away with nothing to show for his time.
M.B. decided then to build his own recording studio, which laid the ground work for Neo Genesis. The next two years M.B. would spend in a business deal with Dimi God Entertainment. Where Neo Genesis would provide the music and Dimi God would be the management company, but when M.B. started playing the management role and producer he became unsure about the deal. Finally in late 2003 the two parted ways. Finding himself back at square one he started recording what would be his Southern Castaway mixtape and songs for his debut album (Tormented Genius), but later that year M.B. fell on hard times.
It would be late 2004 before M.B. would be able to make any moves in music. They say the third time is charm, so entered Neo Genesis. M.B. started recording Vice Versa in late 2004. It was natural for M.B. to reach out to his old high school friends to be one of the acts off his new production company. Then in 2005 M.B. finally started working with long time co-worker Zay, and his rhyming partner Q-Slang other wise known as Solid Clay. With his new business partner Rated P.G. and Dustin Lee they plan to set Atlanta and the world markets on fire. With the love of his life in place R&B Diva Johnae. Making Neo Genesis a house hold name shouldnt take long.
