goal is simple, create and cultivate a company committed to supporting the
positive growth of artists; be they painters, skaters, film makers, musicians, or
surfers. To engage and give back, and in turn sustain the passion we feel
for our own art.
And respect the landscape. The history of skating, surfing, and art is
rooted in a culture of small shops and small companies. This diversity has
fed innovation, and it's what the 'Marts seek to emulate. Resist the intense
pressure to globalize and homogenize. Keep it core. Support the small
shops, suppliers, and brands that have brought us this far.
In the end, Modus is about the integrity of the process. The process of
working your medium and refining your craft, all with the singular hope of
grasping those precious seconds where creativity flows and time ceases to
matter.
