When I was 9 years old my recorder teacher decided I was ready for a ‘bigger’ instrument. I wanted to learn the flute but all the school had to hire was a clarinet.....so, like all the other things i have done for most of my life like eating, sleeping, thinking..playing the clarinet has become one of those things.
I have played, play and hopefully will play any style that moves me..at the moment (who knows in 20 years time) i play mostly 1920’s jazz but i also am influenced by the traditional music of the balkans. I am clarinettist in two bands based in Clermont Ferrand, France called Fantasmagoria and Oum-tcha , I play a Selmer series 10 si bemol clarinet.
P.S.Did you know that there are between 3 and 6 million landmines in Cambodia? To support the campaign to ban landmines and stop the stockpiling of landmines click here http://www.icbl.org/treaty/people
