When I started to realize I needed to deal with the effects of childhood sexual abuse, I decided to seek out help. I came online expecting to be able to get some info and help. I was very dissapointed in the lack of online support groups that actually dealt with childhood sexual abuse. So I formed the Saferoom Project and others in the same situation as me, dealing with all the aspects of sexual abuse started joining the groups.The Saferoom Project is a network of online forums and offline support for adult survivors of child sexual assault, their friends, family and partners.The Saferoom Project is made up of a fairly close-knit family, that has been convening in chat nightly for almost eight years and annually at SRPCon, our national conference, for the last five years. We are a peer to peer group that can offer both online and off the best support for survivors and the healing community.
