The Smoky Mermaid is highly involved in fundraising and charity events in the community of Belize.
We have worked with The Sisters of Mercy, IDB Charity Events, The Belize Police Force Events and especially the Belize Red Cross. We not only sponser food for the Red Cross but also Events and benefit Dinners. We have raised thousands of dollars for The Red Cross in an effort to help people not only in beautiful Belize, but also nationwide. The Smoky Mermaid cares about its community!

The Smoky Mermaid Restaurant & Bar held its 3rd annual Red Cross Benefit on Saturday, October the 23rd in an effort of continued support to our Belize Red Cross Society, who works tirelessly to serve and help the less fortunate. The benefit was open to anyone interested in raising additional funds for this charitable society. This special three course dinner event held by The Smoky Mermaid Restaurant raised in total of three thousand four hundred and sixty four dollars.
