ROITAN

Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Osaka anymore

About Me

from Amazon.com:
Like a strange amalgam of ZZ Top and the best Royal Trux record they never made, Roitan take the best of the basics and boil it up into a rock soup fit for even the most stodgy of music fans. Taking the Rolling Stones and the Ramones and mixing it with equal parts of Re-ac-tor era Neil Young, Roitan takes rock by the roots and rips it right out of the ground.

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: Roitan, currently no longer located in Osaka, Japan, is was the powersleaze rock duo of Roy Jeff Lee (formerly of 25 Suaves) and Jun Fujimoto (formerly of Japan garage heavyweights King Brothers). Now it's just Roy Jeff Lee and his intransigent machines. Roitan would be really happy to find human replacements for these things.

Influences: Canned coffee from vending machines
Sonny Sharrock, Neil Hagerty, Rick Danko, Johnny Cash, Marc Bolan, Os Mutantes, . . .
Sounds Like: Neandethal women preserved in amber melting and sizzling over a cheap backyard barbeque grill
Record Label: Bulb Records, USA; kangaroo-note records Japan
Type of Label: Indie
