Cire

Watch the New American Century begin.

About Me

Cire was founded by Eric Johanson (also of Emptyself) in New Orleans, Louisiana (USA) around 2000. Over the 7 years and 3 albums Cire has been known to appear with different members, all now alleged to be part of a shadowy network plotting to undermine our defenses against reality. The most recently identified was "drummer" Chris O'Guinn, who was complicit in the making of Cire's newest release, Wholesale Buyout (11/2006).
In 2005, Hurricane Katrina completely flooded and destroyed Johanson's home, removing all evidence of Cire's activities in New Orleans. Eric and Chris continued to meet at an undisclosed location to complete the recording of Wholesale Buyout.
Just after completing the final mixes, Eric and Chris were allegedly abducted by the Department of Homeland Security, and are now believed to be detained by US forces in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. (However, skeptics have pointed out that they are known to respond to Myspace messages, which is not typical of Guantanamo detainees.)
