From childhood up, music has been a major force in my life. It has the power to inspire me, challenge, and heal. It can be playful and fun, raise me to heights and at times make me weep. The joy that comes when singing can still surprise me. I like most types of music and rebel against demarcation and strict labelling.I'm now developing my singing with a singing teacher and finding new inspiration working on traditional songs.I love friendships, my two children, music, visual art, being in the countryside for its tranquillity and nearness to nature; being in the city for its energy, its music and the nearness of friends. My ideal would be to have two homes - one in the city and one in the country! I passionately dislike dishonesty, cruelty, intolerance in all its guises; power groups and cliques that discriminate and seek to exclude others.I enjoy the company of friends and meeting new people - live music - frosty mornings and walking in snow - open fires with the smell of woodsmoke - sunshine and warm winds - thunderstorms - cool sea breezes and the sound of breaking waves. I love being alive.
