Every Mile A Memory....

About Me

I'm 24 and live here in Suffolk, Virginia. I was raised for the first part of my life in Portsmouth, and moved to Suffolk in like 1993. It's alright I guess.. a place is what you make of it, regardless of how things can seem.
I'm a singer/songwriter, new country mixed with a little of everything else. My myspace music profile is up here , or you could check out my website at www.jasonswain.net . I've got songs you could check out either way, and love feedback. ;)
Music is a big part of my life, obviously, and I listen to everything really. I've got a wide range of favorite bands and artists, as you can see from my profile.
As far as who I really am, well, that's hard to explain. I don't fit anyone's stereotypes. I'm fine with that though, I don't want to be like everyone else. Anyone who knows me knows that I've got my own style.. and it's very hard to explain. Everything I am is contradictory. I am tactful, but I speak my mind. I'm shy at times, but I'm one of the most outgoing people you'll meet. Sometimes, I just want to be alone, but I try to be the center of attention. I'm just me.. those who know me know exactly what I mean.

My Interests

Music (country, pop, rock, rap, metal, punk, ska, showtunes, classics, oldies, classic rock, emo, anything), performing/playing music, cars (Chryslers and DSMs mostly), computers, hanging out with friends, anything outdoors, living life to it's fullest potential!

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet friends of course, and anyone interesting. People I can carry on a good conversation with are always welcome, regardless of anything else. I'm laid back.. email me if you feel so inclined.

Music:

.. is awesome. Be sure to check out my band's MySpace Jason Swain and Atlantic Crossing when you're done here. Like I said above, basically everything. Bands and artists that I'm either into, or want to be more into, or am just impressed by are: Big & Rich, Keith Urban, John Mayer, Matchbox Twenty, Chris Cagle, Bowling For Soup, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Tim McGraw, Ludacris, Outkast, Snoop Dogg, Goo Goo Dolls, Garth Brooks, Brad Paisley, Chris LeDoux, Lila McCann, Blink 182, Green Day, Maroon 5, Montgomery Gentry, Simple Plan, System of a Down, AC/DC, The Eagles, Avril Lavigne, Rage Against the Machine, Jessica Andrews, Tommy James and the Shondells, Marvin Gaye, Eric Clapton, Dire Straits, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Tabitha's Secret, KoRn, H.I.M., Atreyu, Dashboard Confessional, Dean Martin, Del Shannon, Gretchen Wilson, Rodney Carrington, Toby Keith, 50 Cent, Nashville Chance, Rainmarket, The Ben Phelps Project, and a wide host of others that just aren't fresh in my mind.

Movies:

Pulp Fiction, Lethal Weapon 1-4, Robin Hood: Men In Tights, The Princess Bride, Butterfly Effect, Saw, Final Destination 2, Air Force One, Serendipity, Click, Stranger Than Fiction, Borat,

Television:

About the only show I try to watch every week is WWE Raw. If I'm around and bored, I'll watch WWE Smackdown, TNA Impact, and a few other non-wrestling shows like Viva La Bam, Pimp My Ride, etc.. but I'm not real big on TV shows. Usually, if my television is on, I'm playing a video game.

Books:

I haven't read a novel in awhile. When I do, it's usually Dean Koontz or Stephen King. Usually my reading material consists of Dave Barry or George Carlin though.

Heroes:

I don't know that I have any heroes... although... I would have to thank my mother and father for guiding me towards my own path. So in some offhanded way... I suppose my parents could qualify.

A blog.. making this more "my"space, so to speak....

I just got finished watching a romantic comedy. And you're going to kick me for this, but I felt a slight tear at the end of it. That's right.. and not only that.. it wasn't a really sweet, "Serendipi...

What do I look for in a girl? Well...

A lot of people ask me.. what is it that I look for in a girl? How can I be single, and be wanting to find someone, when I meet people all the time. It's simple... I can't settle. There has to be a bo...
