this IS me: .. width="425" height="350" ..my name is patrick bateman: .. width="425" height="350" ..i'm mostly a polarizing person. i have low tolerance for many things. most of the time, i can't be bothered. i'm very busy. i'm tangible although may likely be *just* out of reach. anfractuosity infiltrates my life. i'm spicy. sharp. sarcastic. skeptical. sassy. spunky. sleepy. solicitous. sinuous. saucy. snotty. sly. salacious. scurrilous. sensitive. sentimental. self-absorbed. sinful. silly. strong. superstitious. svelte. stubborn. somewhat spiteful. synergistic. stunning. strange. super. [all those snazzy *s* words] i've been called *surly* on more than one occasion, but am not quite convinced. i can be sweet, but don't count on it. those moments are few and far between. i can be girly, too, but again - don't expect or look for it - that tends to manifest in some curious ways. i'm a walking contradiction. i love me - all of me except for my legs. i'm perfectly imperfect. i'm much more complex than you think. i'm addictive, habit-forming. i'll likely make a diagnosis about you from first impression/intuitive feel/vibe....i'm often right, but sometimes not. i'll likely give you a second chance because i don't always make the best first impression. i'm open, but defensive. heartfelt and heartless, subject dependent. i'll pull your heartstrings and break your heart. get too close, risk getting pushed away. i am more elusive than evasive, though some may disagree. i can be compulsive, impulsive and spontaneous. passive-aggressive, even downright violent, but am far more nurturing than most believe. often told that i'm completely unapproachable but actually just take a bit of time to warm up to new people. i run with scissors, sometimes knives. i bite and have sharp canine teeth. i don't play well with others but try to play fair. i have a lot of pet peeves, but, sadly, no pets of my own (and by that i mean poodles). i'm fidgety and capricious, always a bit anxious. i'm shy though not many people believe that. i can simultaneously be incredibly selfless and disgustingly selfish. i'm vain, a bit jaded but not bitter. i forgive but don't forget. i trust until i'm given sufficient justification to do otherwise. i enjoy being by myself. at times, in large social gatherings - observation is key. i'm content sitting alone on the outskirts of the crowd taking in the stimuli and analyzing it. i hate small talk. i'm tangential and often lose track of what i meant to say. i often talk to myself, sometimes answer and argue with myself. i always win. i make myself laugh but can't tell a joke to save my life and always get jokes long after others are done laughing about the joke - that is, if i get the joke at all. i can be exploitative, voyeuristic, exhibitionistic, sadistic, quite masochistic - the resulting amalgamation depends on the day. i'm a brat. i have recurring, very vivid dreams. i tend to be quite the hypochondriac. i have several allergies, though, thankfully, none to food except nutrasweet, which gives me hives and shellfish, which makes me feel like i'm having a heart attack. that sucks because i love mussels and escargot (yes, escargot is in the shellfish family). god forbid i develop diabetes; i can't take sugar withdrawal. the texture of the food i eat is equally important as the smell and taste. chewy food makes me gag unless it is in the form of candy or gum. my sense of smell is pretty damn keen. i use lip balm religiously, which is probably the most religious thing i do. i am perpetually cold; but don't like to cuddle-just steal body heat. i don't often use a pillow when i sleep, and love to sleep in the corpse position. i am like a bear in that i hibernate for much of the winter...and that i'm moody - i may look all sweet and cuddly, but beware when i'm feisty. i love candy, sugar in all forms, actually. i truly believe that ice cream is the cure for most ailments, mine anyway. vodka is my most used vice. i AM the stuff of which dreams are made....or nightmares, depending on your overall predilection.... you've been warned. i have finally become who i am. to sum it up, i'm pretty much just incredible all around...little surprises around every corner, but nothing dangerous. don't be alarmed...
