Thanks for checking out my music page. I'm a small market broadcaster who enjoys writing, and recording original music. The lack of a good singing voice has kept me mainly creating instrumental tunes featuring keyboards, synthesizers, samples,loops, and guitars.
I have the love and encouragement of my beautiful wife Tina, who made me the happiest man in the world on October 1, 2005. We're expecting our first child together this October, in addition to my two awesome step children, Michael and Bethany. We have a great life together and I am thankful everyday for having her in my life as my wife and my best friend.
I spent a fun 7 years playing keys in the Bennett Street Band with a great bunch of guys who I learned alot from (mainly about music haha). We had a good following and stayed pretty busy playing on the weekends. It was a great musical education, but I can't say I miss the late nights and the loading and unloading of sound equipment. (except for all of the joking and mischief we enjoyed in the process). I've done mobile DJ work for over 25 years, so I've done my share of hoisting sound gear through the years for sure.
In addition to my day job of being a small town broadcaster and, programming and production director, I also do freelance voice-over work for national radio, TV, online media, etc. My website at www.lecatomedia.com has more details on the services offered, and also additional mp3s of my original tunes over the years. I have a difficult time coming up with a description of my music, since my musical interests are extremely varied, the styles are all over the place. I love rock, jazz, blues, electronic, funk, fusion, acoustic and lot's of others too. Computer audio production has really opened up all kinds of possibilities for small home studios, I have a blast experimenting with all of the options. I currently record using Mackie Tracktion 2 and Cakewalk Sonar. I've produced 4 homemade CD efforts, mainly just for fun, and to distribute among friends. I'm in the process of finishing up a new project of instrumental jams that I've been banging away on for the last few months, I hope to have it wrapped up and mixed soon. I don't have any lofty goals for my music, outside of just having alot of fun creating it and sharing it with friends and musical folks here online.
