I am here for Networking

About Me

..

myspace

My passion is music and entertainment. I'm lucky enough to have made a career in the field I love. I've worked as a musician, composer, producer, sound engineer, music supervisor, and now as a music manager. I grew up in a small town in Illinois, about an hour and a half southwest of Chicago. I spent my early adulthood in Chicago and then transplanted to Los Angeles in 1999. Don't get me wrong. I LOVE Chicago...just not the wicked cold weather in winter. My family still lives near the area where I grew up and I visit often (Usually on the coldest day of the year....Argghh) I love to do things outdoors. Tennis, Golf, Rollerblading, Hiking and Scuba Diving are just a few of them. My indoor activities include cooking, watching movies, playing music and computing.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

People who appreciate really good music and quality entertainment. Someone with real values...like: honesty, integrity and compassion. Other entertainment professionals who know the value of networking in a give and take world...not just "what can YOU do for ME".

Music:

I like almost all genres of music, but prefer rock, pop, classic rock, alternative, jazz and soundtracks. I also have some country and classical in my collection. I mostly avoid rap and hip-hop. Some of my favorite artists and composers would be: Peter Gabriel, Elton John, Alice Cooper, Thomas Newman, Pete Townsend, Sarah McLachlan, Annie Lennox, Bonnie Raitt, Aha, New Radicals, Sting, Frank Zappa, The Beatles, Crowded House, Cyndi Lauper & Seal. Some of the indy artists that I listen to often, and have had the pleasure to work with, would be Brother, Batlord, Judith Owen, Randy Coleman, Rick Kurek, Sonia Dada & The Drew Davis Band.

Movies:

This Is Spinal Tap, The Piano, Shawshank Redemption, The Player, As Good As It Gets, American Beauty, Tommy, The Jerk, Time Bandits, Cider House Rules, Monty Python and the Holy Grail...

Television:

The Simpsons

Books:

Midnight Express, The DaVinci Code, Conversations with God, Disclosure, I Robot, and lots of music industry reference books.
