Worked as a session player in Monterrey Mexico for about 4 yrs, then joined with a cat named Marcos for close to 10 yrs, traveled all over Latin America...met some wonderful people... married the love of my life, Anita 26 years ago...great kids, the absolute GREATEST grandson in the world, Kiel James Brasel, he's a pistol! One of my favorite phrases comes from from my old friend Frank Warren (who is now with the Lord): "God is Good";the longer I live, the more real that statement becomes.

Larry Carlton (met in May 07!) , Paul Jackson Jr., Eric Clapton, Lee Ritenour, James Taylor, Abe Laboriel, Robben Ford, Tommy Emmanuel, Chet Atkins, Les Paul, Al Jarreau,Steve Lukather,George Bush(both), Ronald Reagan...oops, too late! Too many others to name...mostly musicians.

Music:

Any Jazz, some blues, new country, classical (mostly to unwind or avoid road rage. Specifically: Larry Carlton, Lee Ritenour, James Taylor, Chick Corea, Robben Ford, Scott Henderson, Marcus Miller, Kirk Whalum, Tommy Emmanuel, Toto, Mike Landau, Kirk Whalum, any and all bebop, Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson, Ella, Sarah, Thelonius Monk, Charlie Parker...pretty open to anything that is REAL jazz or true music from the heart...not too fond of too much of the "smooth Jazz", although some of it is passable! Also like relative unknown indie artists such as Monty Montgomery, Ani DeFranco, etc. Not crazy about most commercial pop or most commercial chrstian music...

Movies:

Rainman, What about Bob?, Any and all Star Wars, Star Trek, The Score, Nacho Libre ( I can't believe I liked that), Pitch Black, Equilibrium, Indies and off the wall stuff...

Television:

Food channel, MASH, Star Trek (any SciFi), News (Fox), Glenn Beck, Heroes, ALIAS, 24, The Unit, Chuck.

Books:

Dean Koontz, Clancy, Greg Iles, Clive Cussler, Stephen King, C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, Brennan Branigan, The Bible, bio's, autobio's, History books

Heroes:

I admire and respect a lot of people, but my only real Hero is Jesus! If it weren't for His love and grace, I would literally not be here.
