THANK YOU for visiting this site which features the work of Susie Taylor
We’d like to say a few words about Susie but her words speak for themselves, this is called:
TAKING FLIGHT
I notice your not here today
The cage was locked but you’ve flown away
Scaling the heights of the tallest trees
You swoop and you swerve as you look down on me
You soar higher and brighter than any I’ve seen
A bird’s-eye view of what could have been
A dot on the landscape, too tiny to see
The speck on the horizon cries “This is me, this is meâ€
The wind beats so strong, terror staring into my face
The seagulls are mocking, circling my space
The lonely squall cries as the black blanket skies
Pelt down weighty stones, crushing my bones
I cling and I claw, as the sea hits the wall
My grasp cannot hold, I am fragile not bold
One of a collection of beautiful poems published by Susie Taylor called
‘Kaleidoscope Hues’.
Copies will be available at all of Susie's exhibitions during 2007; dates to be confirmed. More of Susie's poems will be featured here soon so please keep coming back
Susie would love to hear your comments
