FIRST & foremost I must address MY most frequently asked question on myspace....I am NOT a model. I am a business women working in the Music Field so please dont get it twisted. Yes I like to look great and dress fly but not to be mistaken. I work hard for my respect & TRUST I will get it. Y? Because I demand it! PERIOD! No if & or buts. To all ladies trying to establish themselves in a male-dominating industry, I say to you "IF YOU KEEP YOUR LEGS CLOSED, THE DOORS WILL STAY OPEN!" & anyone in any of my pictures will tell u that I am as sincere as every word I've stated above........2008....A new year, new projects, new things. Since moving here to ATL a few yrs ago, I must say that I have accomplished a lot. I've been working for BME Recordings for the past 5 yrs. We are label home to Lil Jon, Lil Scrappy, Crime Mob, Trillville, E 40, Bohagon, BHI, Chyna White, Oobie, and the Eastside Boyz. I also work for Umbrella Recordings of which we currently have Patti Labelle, Carl Thomas, & Tweet. I co-produce & co-host an independant tv show that's been airing for 5 years and in 10 states called "The Underground Talent Mart", and now the producer of "Bri TV" and working on a current documentary called "Boss Chics". I use to do hairshows & magazines, fashion shows, a few videos (long enough to realize there was more money on the other side of the camera), a few commercials, an extra here and there, still host select events, and speak on several panels and at different schools, etc. The road hasn't been as long as others but it's surely been one heck of a journey. I want to thank everyone that has had my back FOR real in moving here & in just stepping into the "music" industry itself 5 yrs ago. For those trying to get in, I say to you "check your squad". Get rid of people that are not on your team RIGHT now...not next year or 2 - 3 yrs from now. Everyone that says they have your back in this game doesn't and everyone that claims the best for you isn't always praying for that. Those same people will lie to you in your face, steal from you like you aren't already trying to do everything in the world for them, and needless-to-say the list goes on. The same ones that pray FOR you also pray AGAINST you...and you'll see it if you don't already see it now. They say game recognizes game but perhaps I haven't played it long enough and I can't say I want to learn the rules. Just trying to be loyal to others in hopes that they find reason to be loyal to me. Those that play games will more than likely beat themselves so I say to them "Play On". This music thing like anything else is like a game of chess. Utilize each man for the angles and directions to which they are good for but protect each one of them with each move. Acknowledge the advantages of how each player is capable of moving even if it's just a simple pawn. Even the smallest character on your team has great strength. Strategically place each character so that it is a cautious and well planned decision. The move may not seem to matter much at first but proves to be very effective in the long run. And most importantly, Remember that most that lose in chess usually checkmate themselves! Happy New Year and to all much success!!!!
