About Me

I was born in the year England last won the World Cup.
Happy childhood.
Two years at college studying, and completing 'Preliminary Certificate in Social Care'.
Married at eighteen, and became an 'army wife'
Moved to Londonderry, Northern Ireland.
In 1987 we moved to Gibraltar and I had my daughter.
Moved back to UK a couple of years later - Colchester
Husband left army and got a job as a Prison Officer and we moved back to our hometown in Lincolnshire.
In 1991 I had my son.
In 1993 - first worst time of my life - finding out husband was having an affair with female Prison Officer.
In 1994 I divorced him.
In 1994 met brilliant guy.
In 1998 we moved in together.
In 2001 I had third (and final!) child.
On January 2nd 2004 - second worst time of my life - my dad died very suddenly of a brain haemorrhage. My partner and I are saving up for a wedding in Las Vegas, with my eldest son giving me away, hopefully being 'sung up the aisle' by 'Elvis'!, honeymoon in San Francisco incorporating a visit to Rudy's Can't Fail Cafe!

My Interests

Going to see the bands I like play-although don't get to do this as often as I'd like. Did have a great time in Finsbury Park watching Pulp play - took me ages to get to the front barrier but I was there to see the last song with no-one in front and it was awesome. Also last year seeing Green Day play in Milton Keynes - in two words, 'they rocked!'
Surfing the web.
Going to the cinema.
Going to the theatre. Went to see Daniel Kitson July 07 - very good and would definately recommend. Julien Clary also great live. Love Eddie Izzard too.
I worked at Oxfam for five years before I had my third child.
Apart from having an 'active' interest in running the house (you know, childcare, washing, ironing, gardening, diy, decorating, etc., etc.,!!!), I work at a local school. I live with my partner and our three children.
Reading.
Socialising.
Play Tombraider and The Sims.
Browse and occasionally post in a couple of Green Day forums - uk and us official one.

I'd like to meet:

And John Engers Stockwell who was in the American Airforce and based here in the UK during WWII.
