I am here for Dating, Friends and Networking

About Me

Roro Rosie is my name.
A likable wise woman and gadabout, recovering from a recent breakup with a NO LONGER SO charming stay-at-home, so back to the gadding about.
Big project: I am currently dedicating quite a bit of time and energy to vocal lessons and practice. The pop-punk-rock-folk-confusion band/duo "Almost NoRmL" wherein I play guitar and sing, write songs, and share the management duties with my looney tunes lead guitarist, is moving slowly at this time as we buff up our songs and our skills.
I also write poetry and non-fiction, fool around with cartooning, and read Tarot. I have 18 years clean from drugs and alcohol. I have a beautiful grown salsa-dancing daughter who speaks fluent Spanish and has earned her a B.S. in San Jose, CA. She now works as an up-and-coming sales executive.
I am owned by a cat named Chango. At home I am putting together a little music studio for myself and I like growing plants, cooking, and hanging about with my dear friends. I also recently started working out at the gym as part of my attempt to lose weight and get more fit in general.
I work a mundane career as a Business Analyst / writer and I play a very good "responsible human" role in the wide world.
My hobbies include Postcrossing - sending postcards worldwide and recieving the same back & Bookcrossing - releasing and trading books all around that can be tracked by the finders and entered into the website. Both are kind of slow right now as I focus on reorganizing my space. I love the outdoors, travel, museums, books & reading, movies, great TV series, and being silly -- those are the fun things.

for friends: nothing beats a human being!... well... except a cat... or a dog... but... I like humans!
for love I'm looking for someone like me. Someone who can be sweet and passionate, but who also can support a great deal of independence -- support each other's projects. A grown up in life who can relax and play after the work is done. Somebody who can be tender and safe; but also be wise and challenging. I don't want to be the one who is right ALL the time -- but someone who can listen and HEAR me.
