We don't have all day... lol... reading, writing, painting, hiking, working out, volunteering, learning... gimme a new concept to latch onto and I am happy as a bug...
Being a gay man, I wouldn't mind meeting a man that is in tune with himself and has room for me, without being smothering. I am incredibly self sufficient and tend to back away from clingers, if you know what I mean. I am attracted to men that know what they want and go for it, but don't step on people on the way there. I tend to like dark hair and blue eyes... that's the best... but then, I don't have a true type, because I find beauty in most anyone, or try to.I like men who can be adventurous and doesn't mind a camping trip, or a night at home. As I like to entertain, it imperative that he enjoys that as well. He doesn't have to be the center of attention, as I sometimes can be, but can share in the warm glow of friendship, love and nurturing that a relationship offers, either with me, or in friendships...
I have such a variety of tastes that it's crazy. From Eric Himan, to Chris Botti, from Cher to Bronski Beat... I don't care much for most hip hop or rap, because I simply cannot identify with it. I like everything from Jazz to Classical, to modern pop, and even old torch song standards. If it has a beat, and something to say, I would most likely enjoy it. Oh, and I am not a fan of 80s hair bands... what was that about? lol
Anything SciFi, horror, or adventurous. I am not in for most sappy movies, but a good comedy with a message (Steel Magnolia's is a must, what can I say?), will get my attention.
Gimme Lost, Alias, Charmed and Desperate Housewifes any day over reality TV. The whole reality tv drives me nuts... makes me wonder if we are going to finally get to the point that we are watching something akin to The Running Man before it's all said and done. Occassionally, I need a fix of Who's Line is it Anyway? American version, of course... it's falling off the couch funny...
I read, alot... Anne Rice, and her son, Christopher get my attention first. Right now, I am in the middle of reading the Anita Blake series... it's wonderfully erotic and funny too... what a wierd combo, huh?
There aren't too many people that you can look at as heroes in this day and age. I tend to gravitate toward people that can be themselves, without pretense, or those that can inspire... unfortunately, there aren't alot of those folks around... I am trying to become one of those people, by volunteering for local AIDS organizations, and just in general, being a nice person... I help old ladies across the street, and offer cupcakes to the office at my apartment complex... I like being nice... no harm in that...
