As you will see when you take a glance at my movies..I love Asian Cinema - it all started with Godzilla, Bruce Lee, Akira and Speed Racer (yes it is one of the original animes released in the US). My daughter is responsible for introducing me to Blade of the Immortal, an excellent manga. In return I did however introduce my daughter to Roman Dirge's Lenore.
I am a huge fan of the Sandman series and have all of the original comics. Like all things SPARKLY, Sparkly is hypnotic, sparkly is good - all things sparkly. Like Tattoos a lot but I have only one, fascinated with Asian culture - this started in my early teens, fireflies, hiking the desert, crows and I am studying the Golden Dawn. Reading Tarot, can't get enough of my Egyptian studies and a host of a million other things. Curious about life and all it entails...oh yeah love that Cowboy Bebop.

"Under the Civilian Exclusion Order of 1942 over 100,000 western seaboard residents of Japanese descent were evacuated from their homes and relocated in internment camps in the interior. The order was conceived by the U.S. government during the hysteria following the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, in an effort to prevent sabotage of America's war effort. Toyo Miyatake, a Japanese photographer who was interned at the Manzanar camp, was photographed by Ansel Adams, who visited Manzanar at the invitation of the camp's director. Adams's visit resulted in the famous landscapist's only photo essay, the book Born Free and Equal (1944). Two copies were sent to Franklin Delano Roosevelt by Secretary of the Interior Harold Ickes, as part of the secretary's campaign to end the internments. Copies of the book were burned in protest by a public largely unreceptive to the idea of Japanese innocence. To safeguard the record for better times, Adams then deposited his Manzanar negatives in the Library of Congress. (Gift of the photographer)" Internment camps are being discussed for those of Middle Eastern Descent haven't we learned anything?
