My name is Victoria. I am an artist, welling way down from the deep, through many generations ... above all else ... except motherhood!That's pretty heavy duty ... if you really think about it. Talk about the agony and the ecstasy! Tied by genes, full of passion...to forever search for the meaning of life! Looking intently at everything, to deduce the very basic tenants and nuances of construction and ultimate meaning! At times, frantically trying not to miss something important, knowing that everything IS important... to the Original Creator ... the ultimate artist, still working on expressing in form his/her dream.Art can get into very deep and murky waters ... creation is by definition art ... creation in any medium that can express the outpourings of the soul of the creator. The earth is art. The universe is art! You are art!!! LOLSupposedly, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Art appreciation is also...all art is valid as expressions of passion and creation. Come to think about it, all living things are artists, In the sense, that they create images and reflections of their being, (think of fossils, for instance ... the art of nature, and who created that)!Any art that a species creates using a tool or materials, even if only a print of ones presence on earth, becomes an expression. This basic definition of art, reflection of being, makes all attempts valid and equally important. Whether you like the work or not, is up to you! Too busy to draw or paint it seems, but finally figured out how to take a digital photo, and actually upload it to my computer! All the photos so far are 'raw' as I still haven't figured out 'edit' ... but peeked ahead and it looks like a lot of fun.Just might have another addiction on my hands ... or, with my eyes! LOL!

I love music period, that touches my soul ... and makes me move. I am a closet dancer.My absolute favorite 'live' band, that is so totally now is The Fenians, out of Orange County Calfornia.They have toured the U.S. for a number of years ... so be on the lookout to go see the in person ... great show every time they perform.Visit ... thefenians.com ... buy a CD ... you will be glad you did.Oh, and I like Johnny Cash, Harry Belafonte, Joan Baez, and Clay Aiken!!! ... and, of course, Alan Jackson.Favorite 'girl band' ... yep, you guessed it: The Dixie Chicks!!! I must confess also that I am an American Idol nutcase ... and I am praying for Senior Idol so I can go and try out!!! LOL Don't laugh now! 'Just like that.'And my favorite video cover artist? Billy Ray ... out of Montreal, Canada, or is it the Outlaw from Georgia?Oh and did I mention, I really like ... Alan Jackson!!!

C-span ... LOL ... on the lighter side I am nuts over Dancing with The Stars, and American Idol! I also like Lost and Dr. House ... and the History Station, Science Station, Gardening Channel, and Cooking Station ... MLOL!

Books:

Science/Natural History/Biographies, and while waiting in offices/cars nothing beats ... right now ... anything by Clive Cussler.

Heroes:

Our First Responders! Every day heroes!My daughter who is raising my 14 yr. old grandson while waiting on a transplant combo list and going to dialysis 4 X's a week ... what a mom, what a woman!!! What tremendous courage each day takes.Speaking of moms, my youngest daughter is super mom to my two beautiful and totally bright grand girls. She knew what she wanted and left to get it ... come hell or high water!Another hero, who truly stands tall, and who truly talks truth to power, and does have an actionable plan to better the planet:Dennis KucinichAnd for a super, super hero!!! ... who, at 94, a man, who really remindsme of my father, who 'walks his talk' where ever that takes him, and who still inspires those who take the time to listen: Jack Lalanne!
