Matthew Mendes

Matthew Mendes, the artist that relies strongly on lyrical content and substance within his rhymes wants to be one of the artists that helps bring hiphop to where it once was, rhyme skills. He is an artist with strong writing ability and has his own unique rap style that sounds like nobody else. He raps about the personal stuggles that he had to overcome in his life as well as the political issues and struggles in modern day hiphop. Matthew Mendes is a struggling independent artist with a strong work ethic and one with high expectations of himself and his ability. Mendes has been rapping for over 10 years, but started writing songs in late 2001. Soon after, his first demo was made at Blackbird studios in Cromwell, Connecticut. In late 2003 Matthew Mendes started working with Robert Tucker of TNT Productions and Hug Da Block Entertainment and started working on his debut album called misunderstood. The 4 track E.P single can be purchased on cd baby and itunes. The rest of the misunderstood album will be released on Feb 12th 09, so be on the lookout for this release.
