NSEA Data file: Lt. Laredo, Tommy
Lt. Tommy Laredo is one of the most skilled pilots in the National Space Exploration Association. Admitted at an early age, Laredo is the youngest person to ever graduate from the NSEA Academy. Due to his young age many starship commanders were hesitant to take him onboard, but he was soon commissioned aboard the N.S.E.A. Rebellion.
It took a long time before he was respected as a fellow officer. He had to endure many discriminations, and hard tasks before he was finally recognized as the skilled helmsman he was. He had to push himself harder than any other helmsman in the fleet. That turning point was on a difficult mission where the chief helmsman was lost and Laredo courageously took charge.
This offered him a promotion to lieutenant and the position of chief helmsman. He was soon transferred to the Protector under the command of Commander Robert Trout, just before Taggert took command, Laredo were he had displayed some of the best piloting skills anyone has ever shown in the N.S.E.A. He had saved the ship and her crew from many threats.
