About Me

The 77s (a.k.a. the Ungodly Ypsi 77s) is an original Ypsilanti/AnnArbor, Michigan rock band fronted by legendary rock personality KK Dirty Money. The 77s fuse foot-stomping swampy blues anthems with raw twangy baritone surf-guitar and smear it over a thick chunk of garage punk to create a catchy-yet-unique type of "garage-a-billy blooze" that is performed with a supercharged energy. The members of the 77s are simply bastard sons of pirates, lineage of Vikings, and the future of the AA/Ypsi rock scene. The 77s, being the dirty hookers of the local rock scene that they are, incestuously share a harem of other rock bands together. They just can't get enough of the rock, so The 77s formal connections are sprawling as they perform in variety of local rock acts. Here's the story: The 77s' band members currently perform in the following bands: KK Dirty Money - the 77s, Devil Elvis, Sunday Painters, Las Drogas, Hobo Train Wreck Suicide; Alex King - the 77s, Gorevettes, Mazinga, Scott Morgan's Powertrane, Christpuncher, and has even sessioned for Mitch Rider; Casey Jones - the 77s, Las Drogas, the Deadringers; Joe Jones - the 77s, the F.A.S., the DeadringersCheck out these other bands when you get the chance.More MP3's and other fun crap at: http://kkipp.com/77s.htmlA few of the more notable bands the 77s have played shows with: The Hard Lessons, The Muggs, Broadzilla, Lee Marvin Computer Arm, Horse Cave Trio, Chapstik, The Singles, Cuckold, Mazinga, Lord of the Yum Yum, Mr. Gnome, the Pussy Pirates, BR549's Gary Bennett, the Cult Heroes, Sik Sik Nation, Scotty Karate, etc.
