What we do in life echoes in eternity

About Me

..
.. ..
Do you know God? Have you accepted His son Jesus as your Personal Lord and Savior? If you have not, what is holding you back from living at your full potential now and receiving the gift of God in your eternal salvation?Brothers, my life hasn't been the same since the day I made that bold step to receive Christ. People ask, "How do I get to know God?" First you have to believe that there is only one living and true God. "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one!" (Deuteronomy 6:4); and infinite, all knowing Spirit, perfect in all His attributes, one in essence, eternally existing in three persons-Father,Son,and Holy Spirit-each equally deserving worship and obedience. (NKJV). God really does exist, He has created all of us with the free will of choice and wants us to choose Him and be His friend. BUT, there is a problem. We are disconnected from Him because of sin. Have you ever done anything wrong?...yep, we all have and we do so daily. This is called sin and it can really complicate things. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23) If we don't take the right steps, it will keep us apart from God forever. "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23) For John 3:16,17 says it well. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." There's the good news...the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Here is the even better news! No matter what your lifestyle was before or is now, you can receive the gift of our one and only true God. This is done through repentance (to sincerely feel bad about what you have done and desire to change) and faith (to believe that Jesus is God, Lord, and that He died on the cross two thousand years ago, was buried and rose from the dead three days later. Acts 20:21 tells us that reconnection with God happens through.."repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 10:9 teaches us.."that if you confess with your mouth (externally)the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart (internally) that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." God is so amazing that he came to earth in the form of man (Jesus) to be the bridge for us to recieve His glory and everlasting love.If you believe this message to be true but have not received our Lord Jesus as your personal savior then please wholeheartedly say this prayer: "Dear Jesus I believe that you are God. I believe that you came to earth 2,000 years ago and proved that you were God. I believe that you died on the cross, that you were buried and that you rose from the grave three days later. God I have done things wrong in my life. I would now like to repent of my sins...I am very sorry for what I have done wrong and I would like to change. Please forgive me and come into my life as my Lord,God,Savior and Friend. Thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen."If you said that prayer with all your heart. CONGRATULATIONS!!! For you are truly a friend of God and will have a special place in the Kingdom of Heaven, our eternal life.If you are not part of a bible based church, I urge you to do so. Surround yourself with Genuine, authentic Christians. For authenticity and genuineness are traits that can not be faked. You will see right through it. I belong to a truly blessed church called Aletheia in Harrisonburg, VA. The motto there is "Rockin' Philippians 2 "Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself." v.3God gives each of us opportunities. One of the many free gifts the He will keep on giving. The time to represent Christ is now. The time to make an impact is this year, this month, this week, it is this day. God provides each of us opportunities to display His greatness. It is up to us as to what we will do with those opportunities.I'll end with this question: What will be your Legacy (each day, month, year;in life)... What will you be known for...When you stand before the God that died for you, what will He say?God Bless each and every one of you!

My Interests

Pimp-My-Profile.com - Build a SlideshowKnowing God in an intimate way. Making Him the most important person in my life because only He rightfully deserves to be. Spending time with my wife Amanda. God has truly blessed me with finding a woman who has the biggest, warmest, and purest heart that I know. There are no hidden agendas, just love. On top of that, she is a follower of Christ and a beautiful woman. Not much more one could ask or hope for. I love to snow ski, work out, coach, and do anything that involves the outdoors and/or sports. My ultimate goal in life is to follow God's Will and purpose. We are all called to be "spiritual leaders" and I want to make sure that I am obedient to Him. I could definitely see myself in a motivational speaking or pastor type role. Whatever God has for me, I will do. I am His bondservant and vessel. My wife and I belong to the Aletheia church in Harrisonburg, VA. An unbelievable ministry lead by some of the most amazing servants of Christ that I have ever had the priviledge to be around. Here is our pastor Dave aka "Groove" and his son Aaron Proffitt (awesome friend) serving God by leading many people to Christ in Cancun Mexico. They are UNBELIEVALBE!

I'd like to meet:

Music:

I am probably one of the most versatile people you'll find when it comes to music. I like it all. I have to give props to my boys "Aletheia" They are one of the BEST Christian Rock/Worship bands out there. Don't believe me, then check out www.myspace.com/aletheiaband and see for yourself. God has truly blessed these guys. They are AWESOME, God driven individuals who give everthing they have to Christ. Christian music is a great way to not only worship the Lord, but to feel His presence.

Movies:

Passion of The Christ, Gladiator, Tombstone, Tommy Boy, pretty versatile in all kinds of movies After that I am a huge fan of comedy. From that standpoint, it just doesn't get much better than movies such as Dumb and Dumber "Big Gulps, eh,..well..see ya later." and of course "Tommy Boy". Classics!!!

Television:

Okay! I am hooked on 24.... Other than that, the only really tv that I watch is ESPN and football and of course the NCAA National Wrestling Championships.

Books:

"The Holy Bible." It is the only true "perfect" book. John Macarthur's "The Book On Leadership" is the BEST book on leadership principles I have read. Why you might ask? It is straight from the Bible. It doesn't get any more real than that. Others that are on top of my list are Joel Osteen's "Your Best Life Now" and Oswald Chambers "My Upmost For His Highest."

Heroes:

My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who went through undescribable pain and suffering so that you and I would have the opportunity "as sinners" to have a place in the abundant life, eternity. My mother who is fighting an incredible fight against cancer in which she exemplifies a stronger faith as a result. She's truly amazing and a real example to follow. My father, who is one of the smartest men I know and who has helped made me become a better man.
