About Me

ATTENTION COMMANDS !!! After the bands Moonlord (Under Moonlight Sadness) and Nemesis Ocvlta disintegrated, Pro-thesis (Drums), Elidor (Guitars and Bass) and Memento (Voice) assembled their ideas and compositions to create the concept of REPVBLIKA. Later on, Steel, former member (Guitars/vocals) of Makina, became part of the lines of REPVBLIKA, standing up for the guitars also. At early 2007, the last member of this alignment took his place in the band, Amorhak (Bass). Laying aside fanaticism, beliefs, ideals and norms that different music genres had established in the past, they focused only in composing extreme, aggressive and direct music. REPVBLIKA’s thematic is the Soviet Union’s art propaganda, failed political structures from the early 20th century and the decline of the West.
Even when those issues inspired the band’s concept, it has no political cut, is the aesthetics what’s being recaptured. The precept under which the band acts is the one of Musika Anomala!KATASTROF! is REPVBLIKA’s debut album which expresses what the band stands for in music, lyrics and image. It was recorded and mixed at MAT Studio by Miguel A. Tavera (member of Foeticide) and mastered at EVOLUTION Studios by Jes..s Bravo (member of Souls On Fire).
