Travel, live music, dive bar drinking, disco dancing, kick-ass karaoke, campfires, gutter art, indie theatre, vintage pinball, amusement parks, card games, scrounging through used/vintage shops, poking around in the darker corners of life. Oh yeah and then there's the big jock in me. I can watch a lot of sports - since I was a very young boy I've been a rabid Pittsburgh Steelers and Boston Bruins fanatic. And I do wish I was a bit more active, but the knees arent too good no more...

(no bad country or bland pop though)!My favourite local bands here in Toronto are Magneta Lane, the Golden Dogs, Shitt Hottt, Lioness, Die Mannequin, Lipstick Machine, the Diableros and Hot Monogamy. RIP controller.controller and Republic of Safety, I miss grooving to you. There are lots of really good to amazing bands here right now, thanks so much to you all for the many hours of golden times I've experienced with you. As a kid growing up in small-town SW Ontario I was weened on the Beatles, Stones, 60's pop and folk (thanks Mom!). Detroit radio opened my eyes further...my other favourite artists ever are the Who, Love (and well all those great 60's garage bands), VU, MC5, Stooges, T-Rex, Eno-era Roxy Music, Ramones, Clash, Wire, Undertones, Joy Division, Husker Du, Minutemen, Redd Kross, Hoodoo Gurus, Plasticland, Replacements, Game Theory, Pixies, Dino Jr, Jane's, Nirvana, Throwing Muses, Breeders, PJ Harvey (whom I adore...she so flirted with me once upon a time in Boston), Superdrag, Cat Power, Elliot Smith, Sleater-Kinney, Dandy Warhols, White Stripes, YYYs, Scout Niblett, The Grates, CSS...gosh there are so many, many more.
Tarantino, Burton, Hitchcock have made many of my favourite movies, but I mostly love indie flix. And I'm a sucker for campy-horror flix like Re-Animator. Favourite movie ever is Edward Scissorhands.
news, sci-fi (I lurrrv classic Twilight Zone and Outer Limits), docs, good sit-coms (the office is my current fave), good reality/game shows (yah, what can I say, I'm a competitor!). Currently soaking up the Popeye 1933-39 and BBC Blue Planet comps on HD...awesome!
