Influences: The Alliance Trio from The Christian Missionary Alliance Church. Stanley Turnentine, Miles Davis, Dionne Warwick,The Carpenters, The Mad Lads, Ruby & The Romantics. My mother was a member of The Alliance Trio , she loved gospel, and singers like Dionne & Karen Carpenter.I guess that at a early age i learned the importance of "the song". My father played jazz records around the house. My childhood singing group won a talent show,and music became my life at that moment.I learned to play guitar when our band decided to leave the group.My friends always said i have a "musical side and a music business side",and along the way there have been twists, and turns. Singing groups, band member, mobile DJ, radio DJ, radio sales manager, music publishing business representitive, artist manager, indi label owner, executive producer, producer, talent agent. What makes me happy in this buisness called music? When i am as close as possible to the music.I have seen hundreds of live shows, and listened to thousands of recordings.I refuse to trash my collection of records,and i smile when my youngest son pulls out a vintage James Brown recording on the original King label!! Whats in my ipod? What do i listen to today? "SOULution" the new cd from Carmen Chiles, Stereo Lab, Stevie Wonder, JayZ, Neyo, Wes Montgomery,Grant Green,Bob Marley,50 Cent, everything from Brian Wilson,The Skatalites, Amerie, James Brown, Beyonce, NWA, Prince, Led Zepplin,Laura Nyro, Yes, Gym Class Heros, Maroon 5,Heatwave,The Five Stairsteps, and much much more. I keep a open mind. My personal crusade? Autism awarness.
