That monkey will be me.
Prepared to be fired
While I get hired.
Isn't it a cruel world to work for?
Greed intertwining with our core
Unable to stop we scream and want more
While the poor stand ignored
"Blasphemy!" You say. Ignored? Nay.
Only when our selfish hides are flayed
Do we realize now is the time
To open our eyes to our true crimes
Our children stand hungry
While death falls behind to bury
Those that have died to protect our land
Our rights and our working hand
Why be thankful for one day a year?
Why give presents for one day a year?
When we should cherish those who fight our fears
When we don't understand those tears
Of a mother who's lost a child
Of a brother who's lost and idol
It's sad how some stand by so idle
Watching on, this land that we've defiled.
Love is harsh. Not letting someone else love the one the hold dear...
If you love them let them go, that doesn't mean you turn your back. If it scars you to love them, take that scar and let it humble you. You are NOT the world, the WORLD does not revolve around you. I can say I like/love her, but I am happy seeing her happy with the other ^-^. But then again, it hurts just having that thought in my head... I'd rather die alone and have her happy then to have her live in misery.
