H ailing from a small town on the Swedish west coast this four-piece called UNION SQUARE was originally formed back in the year 2000 by four friends that had a genuine love for rock and punkrock music.
After six years of touring Sweden, recording various demos and promo cd’s UNION SQUARE parted ways with former drummer Per Qvarnström (By Night) and hooked up with drummer Niclas Lindqvist in the summer of 2006.
Later that year UNION SQUARE went on their first tour abroad to the Baltic States where they toured with Swedish rockers Marvel, proving themselves for new venues and crowds they’d never played before. UNION SQUARE made a big impact on the east Europeans and also got interview by Baltic TV.
In the beginning of 2007 UNION SQUARE toured Sweden for 10weeks straight, playing shows and some festivals all over the southern parts of the country preparing for the summers upcoming Westcoast Invasion Tour.
In June UNION SQUARE flew to the United States for the first time, determent to show the world what these four guys where all about and to prove themselves once more.
Ten shows where booked single handed by the band and while in the states they got booked to play even more shows and got interviewed by web-TV stations and they appeared in newspapers.
Known for their energetic, solid and explosive live performances there’s no one leaving a UNION SQUARE show unaffected. Blending the best from fast cutting edge punkrock with heavier parts of emo rock to more mellow pop influenced parts, UNION SQUARE manage to combine various styles creating their own sound along with their personal lyrics.
After seven years, over 200 shows and festivals, a promo tour to the Baltic States and USA, airplay on numerous radio stations world wide, UNION SQUARE are now starting to gain important ground and dedicated fans all over the world.

“Explosive pop-punk energy barely begins to describe the sweaty adrenaline push of Union Square, a four-piece Swedish purveyor of gigantic riffs and defiant proclamations with a "we want the world and we want it now" kind of vibe. Let's just say it's hard to refuse 'em.†//Editors Review, Download.com
The boys in Good Charlotte reviews our song Deceit:
"Music’s really cool, definitely sounds like they understand the concept of writing a song. Feels like the singers range is really low all the time, not a bad singer though. The name is great! The voice reminds of bad religion. The music is more poppy and doesn’t really match the singers voice. This one is much better written than the other one. They definitely have a shot, it’s not hard to see people liking this." //Good Charlotte (Yes it's a review from the official band GC)
