Joe Kittinger, Jr (pictured above) holds records for highest balloon ascent (102,800ft), highest parachute jump (from 102,800ft), longest freefall (4.5 minutes) and fastest speed by a man through the atmosphere @ 614 mph set on August 16, 1960.
