Are you ready for a change? Tired of hearing that same old hip-hop song on the radio? Good, because so are the Concrete Evangelists. And the only thing that they come to make you do is glorify the Name of Christ. The Concrete Evangelists are first and foremost ministers of the Gospel. But dont let the word evangelists make you shudder and bring back visions of sitting in church. This group of young men and a woman are here to bring back life into the music that so many people listen to on a daily basis.
Hailing from Portland, OR, Ticole Waller (Young Disciple), Doug Gaither (Oracle), and Nichole Martin (Ms. Noble) have been spreading their fiery rhymes of Christian living, youthful struggles, and general advice to the saved and unsaved for 3 years in and around the metro area. Each member has been through their own worldly experiences, and knows the traps and snares that come with growing up Christian. Every member has a testimony that is dynamic and different; each writes from their most vivid memories of triumph and defeat, pain and healing. They all seem to connect on one point: their love for God.
"Where my ladies at!? Virtuosity in tact!"
Ms. Noble, Tight Situation
With their original lyrics and hand-crafted tracks in hand, the Concrete Evangelists have ministered everywhere, from the streets to the shelters, from the school to the church house. And thats part of their mission and goal; to get outside of the four walls of the church. This means going out into the ghettos, the parks, and the streets and reaching those who the traditional church may have deemed unredeemable, or unreachable. That right there sums up their name, Concrete Evangelists.
"Never get cold feet cause I walk on the back of Satan..."
Oracle, Him We Preach
Even their song titles show how they share their testimonies in hip-hop form to the young and old. With a new EP circulating around the streets, people are standing up and putting on their headphones to listen to what the Concrete Evangelists have to say. From the song Tight Situation, which talks about dealing with the sexual struggles that many young people face, to the song Shake Em Off, a upbeat, club-ready song that deals with literally shaking the Devil off of your back and out of your life, Concrete Evangelists make music that is accessible for everyone. And accomplished Portland producer Chocolate Boy Wonda wraps his gritty, multi-layered beats around their every word, each track resulting in a hot anthem with poignant, clear, and to-the-point lyrical content.
"Now Im focused on something different instead of doing the same old thang..."

The great anointing that this group has on their life is sure to reach everyone. Want to find out? Come and see them at a live show.
